Media Relations Manager

Our Media Relations Manager (B2B) will be responsible for ensuring that our clients are best represented to and in the media. This role will include the creation and roll-out of media relations strategies for clients and content creation for communications which will include articles and press releases. Our Media Relations Manager will be expected to build relationships with clients and media partners, and work with both parties to deliver stories that help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing a wide range of articles and press releases for clients of Free Partners
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key industry publications
  • Create, develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders within clients
  • Developing public relations strategy for clients to achieve their objectives
  • Understand, advise and consult on clients’ public relations strategy
  • Implement and develop changes to a client’s public relations strategy when required
  • Coordinate and implement earned media initiatives that raise the profile of our clients, their businesses and the products that they offer
  • Create, edit and proof media messaging for specific client requirements
  • Develop and sustain an understanding and awareness of the insurance industry best practices with regards to the news agenda
  • Proactively identify the most beneficial media opportunities for clients to achieve their objectives

 

Experience and Skills

  • Must have experience within the professional services industry
  • Essential to have experience In professional and creative writing in another B2B role will be client facing so must be able to communicate well with clients
  • Able to work effectively to come up with ideas for clients that are effective for their strategy
  • Proven track record of raising profiles of financial service businesses and c-suite clients
  • Must have experience working in a regulated environment
